Chaitanya Mahaprabhu
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu 15th-century Indian saint who is considered to be the combined avatar of Radha and Krishna by his disciples.
He was born on 18 February 1486.
Chaitanya means “one who is conscious”, Maha means “Great” and Prabhu means “Lord” or “Master”.
The SLOKA of Veda tells: Diayan Krudhé Yajan yegnai thredayam.
Dwapare archyan yadapnothi
Thapnothi Kalela sankeerthya Kesavam.
The meaning of above sloka is: To attain moksha, the methode adopted during KRUTHA yuga was meditation.
During Thredha yuga Yagam was done.
During Dwapara yuga archanai was performed.
But in this Kali yuga, the best and easiesy way to attain Lorg Krishna is to perform Sankeerthan (Bajans).
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s mode of worshipping Krishna was with songs and dance. This had a profound effect on Vaishnavism in Bengal.
He expounded Bhakti yoga and popularized the chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra.

He composed the Shikshashtakam (eight devotional prayers).
